Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is injected into the joints in order to protect defective or impaired areas of the articular cartilage and to reduce inflammation (anti-inflammatory action).

Hyaluronic acid is an important component of articular cartilage and joint fluid.

In treatment, we use hyaluronic acids of animal origin and hyaluronic acids made by help of biotechnology in the laboratory and they usually have a longer action. Among hyaluronic acids of animal origin, Suplasyn 1-Shot is used, and among hyaluronic acids obtained by biotechnology, ViscoPlus Matrix is used. Both are for single injection treatment.

Hyaluronic acid can be used as a stand-alone treatment and is often used as a completion of platelet-rich and / or stem cell-rich plasma therapy.
